River Affric Car Park Lat, Lon 57.264982,-4.984596

Glen Affric is a remote Highland ravine that may be found around 25 kilometres (about 16 miles) to the west of Loch Ness and heading south-west from Cannich. This particular valley in Scotland has worked hard to establish its status as a strong contender among others of its kind. The southern path makes a sharp turn away from the river and up onto higher ground about east of Tomich. On either bank of the River Affric, you'll find a road that will take you through the glen.

Both Loch Affric and Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin are important bodies of water, and this glen is located in between the two of them. A parking lot that is looked after by the Forestry Commission of Scotland may be found at the terminus of the northern road, which lies to the west of Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin. This trail won't see a lot of foot traffic, which makes it perfect for activities like birdwatching, hiking, and even jogging. If the weather is clear, you will be able to see Sgùrr na Lapaich and the waterfalls that are located along the river from this shorter path. Some of the indigenous bird species in this area are the hen harrier, golden eagle, osprey, and merlin, to name just a few. Be on the watch for these raptors as you make your way around the course as you make your way around the circuit. If you are interested in going on a hike that is longer than this one, you can connect to one of the many side trails that are located in parallel with it.
