Peaceful Highland Escape – Cannich, Scotland

Cannich is a small, peaceful village surrounded by stunning glens and lochs, perfect for anyone who loves outdoor adventures and Highland tranquillity. We used it as a base to explore Glen Affric, which is truly breathtaking – ancient pinewoods, waterfalls, and incredible hiking routes. The Dog Falls trail was a particular highlight with great views and well-marked paths.

The village itself is quiet but welcoming, with a small café and a handy shop. It’s ideal if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature at its best. A great stop for walkers, photographers, and wildlife lovers.

Tip: Don’t miss a drive through Glen Strathfarrar – it’s remote, scenic, and has limited access, so check opening hours in advance.
