Visiting Ballindalloch Golf Club

The course has nine championship quality green and 18 tees with a par of 72, making it challenging. This course will suit longer hitters more than the shorter, make sure you're armed with the correct change.

The golf course is set on the banks of the Avon River, the last few holes run close to the river with marvellous views of the surrounding purple heather-clad hills and native birch woods, set among 150-year-old trees, this is a hilly course so make sure you are prepared with a few Mars Bars and a drink and make sure you have some anti-midge cream.

Ballindalloch Golf Club, set amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, is a golfer's paradise that offers a truly unique and memorable golfing experience. My recent visit to this picturesque course left me thoroughly impressed, and I can't wait to share my thoughts on what makes Ballindalloch Golf Club so special.

First and foremost, the location of the course is a true gem. Situated on the Ballindalloch Castle Estate, the course offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including the iconic Ballindalloch Castle itself. The course is beautifully integrated into the natural landscape, with rolling fairways, lush greenery, and the River Avon meandering through the layout, making every hole a postcard-worthy view.

It offers a blend of classic links-style holes and parkland-style fairways, providing a diverse and enjoyable golfing experience for players of all skill levels. The course features undulating terrain, strategically placed bunkers, and fast greens that demand precision and strategy. Golfers can choose from different tees to suit their ability, making it accessible for both beginners and seasoned golfers.

The condition of the course is immaculate. The greens are well-maintained, and the fairways are lush and inviting. The attention to detail in course maintenance is evident, creating an exceptional golfing experience.

They provide warm hospitality from the moment you arrive, and the pro shop staff are knowledgeable and can assist with any equipment needs. The clubhouse is a welcoming spot to relax before or after your round, with a well-stocked bar and a menu of delicious food to enjoy. The stunning views of the surrounding countryside from the clubhouse terrace make it the perfect place to unwind.

One aspect that truly sets Ballindalloch Golf Club apart is its commitment to preserving the environment. The club has implemented several environmentally-friendly practices, including a beekeeping program that helps sustain the local bee population and contributes to the production of honey sold on-site.
