The golf course is set on the banks of the Avon River, the last few holes run close to the river with marvellous views of the surrounding purple heather-clad hills and native birch woods, set among 150-year-old trees, this is a hilly course so make sure you are prepared with a few Mars Bars and a drink and make sure you have some anti-midge cream.

This Ballindalloch course was designed by Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie, both internationally recognized golf course architects, they created a heady mix of challenging golf, this is not the longest course but the Par 5 4th are a classic on 2 levels, while there are few more picturesque tee shots than the Par 3 7, this is a great course, immaculately kept and very quiet, fantastic layout and beautiful scenery.
The greens are well kept, you know you are being looked after when a family member stops you on the course and asks you to jump in to his buggy so he can give you a quick overview of the course, with 18 tees it is quite a demanding course up to championship standard.
