A network of major highways can be found in the city of Stirling, which is located only 11 kilometres or 7 miles to the east. This network will quickly carry you to either Edinburgh or Glasgow. Through the Erskine Bridge, the distance of 36 miles that separates the two airports in Glasgow is the same distance that separates the airports in Edinburgh (by the M9 for Edinburgh). Both airports provide regular service to London, as well as to other major cities in the United Kingdom and an increasing number of locations across the world. The city limits of Glasgow are home to a number of highly regarded private institutions, including Glasgow High School, Glasgow Academy, and Kelvinside Academy, to name just a few. Both Balfron High School and Kelvinside High School are accessible via the community's bus service. Lomond School is a higher education establishment located in Helensburgh that provides options for students to attend either during the day or overnight.

Book a room at a B&B that features a garden, a patio, and complimentary Wi-Fi for your stay. You should look for a bed and breakfast in the area that has a master suite with a king bed, two other guest rooms with two twin beds each, as well as large balconies where you can relax while watching the sunset or spotting one of the numerous types of local wildlife, such as the endangered red squirrels.

Had a lovely week staying in Stirling, visiting the sites during the day and then going to the music venues in the evenings. Stirling is a great place to come if you are a fan of live music. Really enjoyed Albert Halls, which put on a fantastic programme of both new and established artists, while The Tolbooth is where you can find some of the best acts on Scotland's folk scene performing live.
