Costa Teguise is a well established resort with a variety of hotels and self catering properties which are available offering almost every type of accommodation. Costa Teguise has a good size shopping area providing most things from supermarkets to small bazaars, but if you require a shopping fix Arrecife is only a short distance by car or taxi. Walk from the shopping area down onto man made golden sandy beaches some with protected areas offering a varied range of water sports with tuition & hire of equipment this being the main wind surfing area on the island.
Costa Teguise is situated in the municipality of Teguise the original capital of Lanzarote & now offering the largest market on the island every Sunday morning, lying to the south east of the island.
Costa Teguise consists of a mainly purpose built resort offering easy access along the coast northwards towards the Cactus gardens & Jameos Del Agua a place of tranquility but on Tuesday Friday & Saturday evenings it is transformed into a most extraordinary night club, built inside a volcanic bubble & designed by the artist Cesar Manrique it is a true place of beauty. Here you will also find across the road from Jameos Del Agua the green caves where the local population took refuge from the ravaging pirates & still today holds secrets to be discovered by the visitor. If you carry on along the coast you will come to Orzola a fishing village with delightful restaurants some offering locally caught fish. To the south of Costa Teguise you will find Arrecife the capital of Lanzarote.
