Loth situated in the region of Sutherland was a crofting township. Loth is beautifully situated between hill and sea 6 miles north of Brora.
Land at the mouth of Loth Burn was drained in 1818, when a new channel was cut for the burn through solid 20-ft rock, An attractive rough road leads 9 miles over the hill to Kildonan.
At the foot of Glen Loth is a stone to commemorate the killing of the last wolf in Sutherland about 1700.
The district is full of brochs. Some 2 miles south of Loth between the road and the railway near Kintradwell is the ruin of Cinn Tolla broch excavated to show an entrance passage 18 ft long and 7 ft high, and 3 ft 'wide, with a cell. The interior of the broch is 31 ft in diameter and 11 ft high, and has a wel17 ft deep with steps leading to it.
