The nearest village to the Fairy Pools is Carbost, on the West of Skye.
The start of the walk is on the road to Glenbrittle, at the foot of the Black Cuillins, the Fairy Pools are beautifully with crystal clear blue pools on the River Brittle, wear appropriate foot ware as you have to walk through a few streams before you get to the pools. the location is stunning, and the walk is lovely, there are loads of little streams and waterfalls and some stepping stones in the stream, watch out for slippery rocks, hopping the river crossings in 2 places, can be a challenge but a really lovely walk to see them, If your lucky Eagles can be seen and heard overhead.
The actual pools are stunning, the colours can be remarkable and with the mountain backdrop depending on the time of year you visit and the weather

The walk to the pools uses the same route there and back, the first main waterfall and pools are about a 20 minute walk from the car park, continue on and the other waterfalls and pools don’t disappoint! offering visitors from all over the world some great ‘Wild Swimming’ for those brave enough to enter the cold water and some fantastic photos, most people spend some time working their way up the river from the first waterfall exploring the different pools, so the time you spend here can vary.
