I made a reservation for an hour on a boat that came with a driver. When we arrived 30 minutes early, there was no indication that the boat had been anchored to the pontoon, so we believed that it was still on the river from a previous reservation because there ...

East Looe and West Looe are connected by a bridge, and both are surrounded by beautiful scenery. The town is also a short drive from the A30, which connects to the cathedral cities of Truro and Plymouth and has a direct mainline to London's Paddington station. Kayaking on the Helford river
Connor

Your review
After an unsuccessful attempt to get out onto the water while we were in Cornwall for two weeks, we were determined to find a spot on the Helford River where we could put our kayaks in the water.

Helford River Boats was a nice change since the yacht club on the other side of the river provided a reception that was less than friendly the previous year.

They were more than glad to facilitate bringing the car down to load and unload, and the price of £2 to launch each kayak is really cheap (even if apparently some people have a problem with that!).

A wonderful spot to investigate the river that is reachable at any tide and features a tavern in the immediate vicinity; what more could you ask for?

An honourable mention goes go to Adam and Steve, who both went above and beyond in terms of friendliness and assistance. No insult is intended towards any of the other workers, as we didn't interact with them.
