Moin Sutherland is the moorland stretch of road between Kyle of Tongue and Eriboll. At the summit is a lovely house built as a refuge the single storey three bay cottage with harled finish. Centre door masked by later projecting porch with side entrance.
Single window in east return gable with large, but worn plaque in centre with ashlar margins.
Skewputts project from return gables in Sutherland tradition, coped end stacks; slate roof. Earliest known roadside refuge that was not described as an Inn in the Highlands when the road was first made in 1830 an inscription on tile east gable commemorates the building of a road at the expense of the Duke of Sutherland.
