Deveron River rises in the Banflshire Cabrach flows into Aberdeenshire, skirts Huntly re-enters Banffshire and finally reaches the sea, after a journey of almost 62 miles at Banff and Macduff, having flowed under the Bridge of Marnoch, a fine three-arched bridge near Turriff, a bridge over a 50-ft pool near the Hill of Montcoffer, past many handsome estates then round the Duff House lands and through the seven-arched Bridge of Banff. The Deveron has splendid trout and salmon fishing on its many reaches.
