  • Shetland Geolocation Latitude 60.155582° N Longitude -1.1500366° E

Because it is a well-known destination for engaging in a variety of outdoor sports, the island Shetland, which is located in the Shetland Islands, is frequented throughout the entirety of the year by people who take pleasure in spending time outside and engaging in a wide range of outdoor pursuits. Hiking is something that a lot of people, both tourists and locals, like doing since it allows them to take in the breathtaking scenery that is spread out along the trail in a number of different spots. Hikers have the option of working their way either up or down the mountain trails as they make their way through the mountains. This choice is dependent on the hiker's abilities, levels of endurance, and degrees of competence, respectively.

Aberfeldy latitude 56.619644° N Longitude -3.8647826° E Depending on which direction you choose, there is a stiff climb out of Aberfeldy on the A826, but of course this is rewarded by a long long downhill walk to Dunkeld! Take care as this route uses two A roads, the A826 and the A822 between Aberfeldy and Dunkeld. The walk is about 17 miles, you need to be fairly fit and allow a full day, take a great packed lunch, as well as spare batteries for your camera. Be prepared for all sorts of weather, so good equipment is a must, as is an Ordnance Survey map. Setting off from the centre of Dunkeld, you'll pass over the River Tay on the historic Telford Bridge. Take the A9 heading towards Inver and the lovely Hermitage. From the Hermitage follow the path that takes you to Strathbraan, up into the hills past the Griffin Windfarm, delightful Loch Kennard, then finally back down into Strathtay, the last mile or so following the river back into Aberfeldy.
