This Hampshire town is located on the Hampshire-Surrey county line. Although the region is densely populated, it is adjacent to a number of large wooded areas to the east. Hawley Lake and Common, just north of the town centre, is another wonderful local alternative, with miles of paths. Just to the south, the Basingstoke Canal Walk may be found.
The town is well-known for its annual airshow and for having a fascinating aviation history, which includes the first powered flight in the United Kingdom in 1908.
Frimley Hatches Nature Reserve and the Blackwater Valley Footpath are immediately to the east of the community on this round trek from the town. You'll also go to Farnborough Abbey, which was founded in 1881. Every Saturday at 3 p.m., the Abbey offers public tours that include a tour of the cathedral and a visit to the crypt.
A number of lakes can be found at the Frimley nature reserve, where you may spot a variety of water birds.

Follow the trail until it curves left and descends a hill, then turn right off the path via a waymarked metal gate into a wooded section. In the spring, look for primroses, bluebells, wood anemones, and creeping buttercups, among other flowers. Pass through a different gate. To minimise disruption to wildlife and cattle grazing on the pastures, please keep dogs under strict supervision at all times. After emerging from the trees, turn left onto a gravel road that will take you to Folds Farm. Turn right at the track junction to join the Avon Valley Path for a brief leg of the journey. Continue straight ahead through the farm and over a little brook to reach your destination. At the way-marker, go over a cattle grid and continue straight ahead on the gravel route until you reach the main road. Turn right and continue down the road for 80 metres, where you will take your first right down a dirt lane alongside some buildings. Continue down this lower lane, which eventually becomes an enclosed grassy track that leads past a little home.. A wooden bridge with a stile, which spans a creek that flows beside a meadow, awaits you ahead. Cross the bridge and continue down the route alongside the creek until you reach a stile leading into the next field. Continue straight ahead, passing through two more fields with gates. At the third waymarked gate, take a right onto a gravel track and through a big gate uphill to the intersection with the main route. After passing the way-marker, continue straight ahead uphill through a wooded area. Return to the field gate and retrace your steps along the hedgerow until you reach the first way-marker. After turning right through the gate, you will re-join the road and begin the climb back upwards to the Fighting Cocks bar.
