Aside from that, the vistas across the Wiltshire countryside toward Salisbury Cathedral are spectacular. Heading a few miles west, you can do a round walk around the beautiful Fonthill Estate, which is a great way to prolong your walking time in the region. The estate offers pleasant walking routes that lead to patches of woods and a huge lake. Old Wardour Castle, which is located just to the south of Tisbury, is also close by. There are some lovely routes to explore around the forests and farmland around the castle, which dates back to the 14th century.
