Park along the road immediately beyond the railway bridge in Semington, just beyond the bus stop Access the canal trail at the bridge and stroll west down the canal, where you'll see a variety of things, including animals, canal boats, and the odd air ambulance, among other things. Continue walking down the canal until you reach the road bridge at Staverton, where you will turn around. Once you've gotten to the road, walk north along it into the village - there's a paved section of this length. Once you've crossed the railway, keep an eye out for the footpath that will lead you back to the east; it will be found behind the bar, on the opposite side of the road, and will take you past the grain producing factory and beside the railway to the river Follow the pathway down the river; there are a few of little green spaces with chairs where you may stop for a picnic if you so want. Follow the walk through the field to the farm at Whaddon, and then down a short stretch of concrete road, past the church, before going south to rejoin the canal and return to the car at Semington, where you started the journey. Because the final stretch is very overgrown, it is feasible to travel directly south over the fields a little early if wanted.
