This Hampshire town is located on the Hampshire-Surrey county line. Although the region is densely populated, it is adjacent to a number of large wooded areas to the east. Hawley Lake and Common, just north of the town centre, is another wonderful local alternative, with miles of paths. Just to the south, the Basingstoke Canal Walk may be found.
The town is well-known for its annual airshow and for having a fascinating aviation history, which includes the first powered flight in the United Kingdom in 1908.
Frimley Hatches Nature Reserve and the Blackwater Valley Footpath are immediately to the east of the community on this round trek from the town. You'll also go to Farnborough Abbey, which was founded in 1881. Every Saturday at 3 p.m., the Abbey offers public tours that include a tour of the cathedral and a visit to the crypt.
A number of lakes can be found at the Frimley nature reserve, where you may spot a variety of water birds.

Located on the outskirts of Bracknell Forest, this sizable community in Berkshire is a pleasant place to spend time. There are miles of local forest paths to explore, as well as a few of beautiful national parks to visit in the surrounding region.
This round walk from the village takes you via Tri Lakes Country Park and Finchampstead Ridges, which are two of the area's most beautiful spots.
The walk begins in the public car park, which is located to the south of the settlement. Driving south-west around the border of Bracknell Forest, passing past the Edgbarrow Woods Nature Reserve, you will eventually arrive in Little Sandhurst. From here, you may join the Three Castles Path and follow the waymarked route through the Tri Lakes Park, which features a number of picturesque lakes to enjoy.
The road then goes north, taking you to the Finchampstead Ridges, which are owned by the National Trust. Enjoy a variety of peaceful wooded pathways, beautiful views from the vantage points, and a number of serene ponds while exploring this area. Following your exploration of the ridges, the route continues east on public pathways to bring you back to Crowthorne.
