The Loch Ness 360 Trail is an 80-mile circuitous route that circles Loch Ness. It combines breathtaking scenery with interesting historical sites and quaint communities. The trail is appropriate for hikers of all skill levels and can be finished in portions or over several days.

The Great Glen Way is a well-known long-distance trail that runs for 79 miles between Fort William and Inverness, traversing through the Great Glen and along the shores of Loch Ness, however it is not solely centred on Loch Ness. It can be finished in around 6-7 days and offers breathtaking scenery, including views of the loch.

The Foyers Falls Trail is a shorter, more accessible walk that is perfect for a day excursion and is located on the eastern shore of Loch Ness. The trail leads to the magnificent Foyers waterfall, where you may take in breath-taking vistas of the tumbling waters, after passing through a lovely woodland.

The Urquhart Castle Trail begins amid the ruins of one of Loch Ness' most recognisable sites, Urquhart Castle. You may get great views of the castle and the loch from this quick and simple walk along the shoreline. For a comprehensive experience, combine this walk with a trip to the castle.

Walks in Abriachan Forest: On the northern shore of Loch Ness, Abriachan Forest is home to a network of trails that range in length and difficulty. These hikes provide you the chance to explore the forest, take in expansive vistas of Loch Ness, and find undiscovered lochans (small lochs). The trails offer an excellent opportunity to see local wildlife and are clearly marked.

When hiking, keep in mind to check the weather, pack proper gear, and adhere to safety precautions. Additionally, whenever you decide to go trekking, let someone know. Also, always take the required safety precautions.

Please note: Please check prior to your activity that starting point has public parking areas or can be accessed using public transport.
