Located on the outskirts of Bracknell Forest, this sizable community in Berkshire is a pleasant place to spend time. There are miles of local forest paths to explore, as well as a few of beautiful national parks to visit in the surrounding region.
This round walk from the village takes you via Tri Lakes Country Park and Finchampstead Ridges, which are two of the area's most beautiful spots.
The walk begins in the public car park, which is located to the south of the settlement. Driving south-west around the border of Bracknell Forest, passing past the Edgbarrow Woods Nature Reserve, you will eventually arrive in Little Sandhurst. From here, you may join the Three Castles Path and follow the waymarked route through the Tri Lakes Park, which features a number of picturesque lakes to enjoy.
The road then goes north, taking you to the Finchampstead Ridges, which are owned by the National Trust. Enjoy a variety of peaceful wooded pathways, beautiful views from the vantage points, and a number of serene ponds while exploring this area. Following your exploration of the ridges, the route continues east on public pathways to bring you back to Crowthorne.
