Beinn a' Ghl is the name of a mountain that can be found in the Cairngorms National Park approximately 10 kilometres to the north-east of Blair Atholl in the Forest of Atholl, which is located between Glen Tilt and Glen Loch.
The Munros of Beinn a' Ghlo can be reached without much effort via man-made and natural paths that are well maintained. The ascent of Carn Liath is one of the less difficult Munros to finish, due to the fact that it is one of the easiest mountains to climb. However, there are parts of pathless terrain beyond this summit, particularly on the split between Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain and Carn nan Gabhar, which will put navigating skills to the test if mist begins to settle in the area.
