The North coast 500 route starts in the northern Highland Capital city of Inverness, your route can vary in length being as short or as long as you like, depending on your itinerary, following along the west coast to Applecross and then northwards towards the bustling town of Ullapool, and the ferry across to the Islands, drive some of the most remote, spectacular sights and locations, visit iconic sights and discover the lesser known secrets which are always the best part of a motorcycle tour of Scotland and pass some of the most northerly coastal points in Scotland, Durness, Caithness and John o’ Groats before heading south back to Inverness, the route can start in either direction with many alternative routes of the beaten track, leading to your own journey through the sweeping landscapes, rugged isles and stunning coastlines.
