The Quoich Dam is one of the largest rock fill dams in Britain at some 1,050ft long with a maximum height of 126ft.

The north of Scotland Hydro Electric has built a road past Loch Quoich by which it is possible to reach the west coast at Kinlochhourn with the road ending there.
