Near the beginning, there is a rest area with bathrooms, picnic tables, and plenty of trail maps and information on the hike ahead, including many shot cut choices to use if small legs are becoming tired: so, that's a good one to pay attention to!

A children's play fort, located not far from a replica of a Bronze Age hut, provides the perfect setting for pretend games of the era. There's a dragonfly pond close by, too, so there's enough of beauty to take in while you stroll.

Excellent views of Loch Ness and access to further route marked Abriachan Forest Walks await you at the top of the 434-meter-high Carn na Leitire, which you'll climb through a winding path.

If you've got the stamina for it, it's a fantastic trip; just bring the correct gear for the day's weather forecast and bear in mind that you'll likely be quite some distance from the nearest water source.

This village is located along the A82, a main road that runs across Scotland's West Highlands, from Fort William to Inverness, the Highlands' capital, which is close to Loch Ness. Along this route, you can find sections of road that were initially constructed in the 1750s.

The town of Inverness is on the banks if the River Ness it then meets up with the Moray Firth, this is the largest city and the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands, you can take a stroll by the River Ness and around St Andrew's Cathedral, the northernmost cathedral in mainland Britain, visit the castle & Inverness Old Town, museum, historic buildings, the Eden Court theatre, the botanic Gardens and Ness islands beautiful at Christmas when lit up for Santa.

The village serves as a great launching point for exploring this very popular area and its surroundings. Popular destinations nearby include the NC500, Isle of Skye, the Speyside whisky region, the Glen Urquhart path, the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre, the Ben Nevis Range ski resort, and the NC500. The Glencoe Village serves as the starting point for many walks that are suitable for people of all skill levels, the Glenfinnan Railway, which draws Harry Potter fans from all over the world, Loch Shiel, numerous waterfalls with impressive heights, stunning beaches, the Inverewe Botanical Gardens, and much, much more.

Try to keep an eye out for our loch's infamous resident as you set sail across the deep waters of Loch Ness on the Caledonian Canal Cruise from Dochgarroch, a sightseeing cruise from Inverness.

The Glen Affric National Nature Reserve and Corrimony RSPB Nature Reserve are nearby for nature lovers wishing to experience the Highlands' expansive landscapes. This is a region of extraordinary natural beauty. There is plenty of river and loch fishing to be had, as well as hiking, bird watching, wildlife spotting, all types of photography, rambling, hillwalking, off-road cycling, and mountain biking.
