This region makes for an excellent home base for exploring the many stunning trails on the fells that are located nearby, such as Skiddaw, Walla Crag, and Latrigg. Try to locate a country house in the area between Chippenham and Devizes. Walks can be started just outside the front door, and there are more than thirty miles of local trails.

Stonehenge, Avebury, the West Kennet Long Barrow, and Silbury Hill are all located in close proximity to Bromham, which places it at the centre of some of the oldest monuments in all of England. Longleat Safari Park, Bowood House with its spa and golf course, and additional golf at Castle Coombe are all located in close proximity to the accommodations here.

The community of Lacock, which was made famous by its use as a film set for the Harry Potter films and is only a short drive away from Bath, which is home to numerous film and TV period plays, features more recent history on show.

Milford Hill is one of the city's neighbourhoods that was one of the first to be settled. The first settlement in the area, which is now commonly referred to as "Old Town," was established long before the establishment of the modern city of Salisbury and has seen numerous changes over the course of its history. Find a bed and breakfast in the rural area of Wiltshire that is willing to accommodate dogs on a case-by-case basis.

Look for places to stay that are close to the golf courses. Fishing is one of the many things that can be done outside, and there are options to suit people of all levels.

Stay in a Bed & Breakfast that is open throughout the year, or find Lodges and Guest Rooms that the whole family or a large group of friends can enjoy together.
