Broadford offers a multitude of activities being well placed on Skye to make use of all activity centers, beaches and tracks around it. With it's quality holiday accommodation you can have a great activity leisure or chill out vacation.

Broadford, together with nearby Harrapool, is the second-largest settlement on the Isle of Skye, Broadford, Lying in the shadow of the Red Cuillin mountains,

Broadford is within the parish of Strath, a long meandering village historically consisting of a few buildings on either side of the Broadford River, the many small townships around the wide sweep of the bay have grown together and Broadford now stretches for a mile and a half around the southern side of Broadford Bay.

Broadford is the second-largest settlement on the sky it is in a beautiful tranquil area, there is a small run way put in by the British army and opened in 1972 and operated a scheduled service to Glasgow, sadly the airport was closed in 1988, today the airport is used by the NHS to transfer patients to Inverness and Glasgow Hospitals in the highlands.

The village provides services to the area being the main town for your shopping here you can find Bed and Breakfast. Hotel or Hostel to suit your budget.

The Sky bridge and the ferry bring tourist to the Island here you will find woodland and pasture, inspiring artist from painters jewellers weavers and photographers throughout the centuries to stay and immortalize this part of the highlands for the walkers there are the Red Hills an extremely steep-sided, set of dome-shaped granite mountains which contrast sharply with the jagged Black Cuillin further north. Their scree-girt slopes give strenuous ascents but with the reward of superb views. Adjacent are Bla Bheinn and Garbh-bheinn, outliers of the Cuillin themselves.

Rising splendidly from the shores of Loch Slapin, Bla Bheinn is regarded by many as Britain's most beautiful peak. There are some fascinating coastal walks here and all round the Elgol peninsula. For wildlife spotting this is one of the best set up by the Forestry Commission to spotting Otters, Whales and Dolphins near Kylerhea and Lochalash.
