Lulworth is a small settlement located in Dorset, England, on the Jurassic Coast, next to Lulworth Cove. Find a hotel or guesthouse with coastal views and gorgeous Jurassic walks, and make sure it has a bar with a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and rooms with stunning views of the ocean. You should go to the Fossil Forest, the Stair Hole, and Dungy Head, and then you should head for Weymouth, which is fun for the whole family or a group of friends. In Weymouth, you will find a beautiful sandy beach dotted with the famous colourful beach huts, backed by Georgian houses, and serving as a backdrop for the Jurassic Skyline. The Victorian Noth Fort and the revolving viewing tower both offer views of the harbour. There is a fantastic variety of shopping and recreational opportunities, in addition to a wonderful range of bars, cafes, and dining establishments. Find the charming community of Coombe Keynes, which is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is encompassed by undeveloped land that is a part of the Lulworth Castle Estate.

In addition to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast, the stunning surrounding landscape features the excellent riding country of Wareham Forest and the adjacent heaths to the north.

Visit the fossil-rich Jurassic Coast with its pebbly Chesil Beach, find the causeway that leads you to the Portland Island lighthouse to see the wildlife, sea life, and birdlife, and then take the kids of all ages to the Weymouth Sea Life Park, which is home to sharks, turtles, and stingrays. After that, take the kids to the Portland Island lighthouse to see the wildlife, sea life, and birdlife.

You should make a reservation for a room that has a view, as well as a private bathroom, a flat-screen television, and equipment for making tea and coffee, so that you may enjoy a gorgeous sunrise or sunset before beginning your day with a hearty breakfast.

From Weymouth, there is a route that leads along the seaside promenade, and over some stunning cliffs. The views from this elevated point reach across the sea, the land, and even further, providing a patchwork of beach, sea, fields, hedges, and trees that varies with each season. Proceed down the coastline, passing by isolated coves and beaches, towards the Durdle Door stack and Lulworth Cove, both of which offer breathtaking views of Weymouth Bay and the Isle of Portland.

The walk begins with a leisurely stroll along the seafront and then the seawall. After climbing a short hill, visitors arrive at a pub and cafe, both of which offer stunning vistas of the ocean, where they can enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cake before continuing on to Bowleaze Cove and its magnificent art deco hotel. After lunch, climb the cliff top path past Ringstead and above Burning Cliff beach next to St. Catherine-by-the-Sea church to begin an undulating cliff edge walk to Durdle Door before descending to Lulworth Cove. On the way, you will pass some small beaches on your way to the Smugglers Inn in Osmington, where you can get lunch or a sandwich.

Discover a holiday house that is tucked away from Hope Square and Weymouth Harbour, making it a great place to stay for those who like to live by the water. This location is known for its scenic destinations. A colourful and energetic type of vacation location with an iconic brewery building located in Hope Square that features a selection of bistros, eateries, and bars. Discover wide open spaces and beautiful walking paths, with the beach at Newton's Cove providing a more peaceful setting to take in the surf.

The Weymouth Esplanade and main beach feature an award-winning sandy beach adjacent to the town centre. The town centre features a good variety of shops and restaurants to suit all preferences and budgets, gastro pubs for lunch or an evening out for dinner, and hotels offering accommodation, restaurants, and breakfast to start your day. Alternatively, you can find a friendly bed and breakfast. Enjoy convenient access to Wool, Waterloo, the Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, Wareham, Dorchester, Bournemouth, and Southampton Airports.

Lulworth Great For Walking

Allthough only a small village, this area has some of the most stunning hiking trails in the area. I began my walk along the South Coast Path from Durdle Door and ended up at Land's End. About 30 minutes and a very wide, well-marked route later, we arrived at our destination. There are several steep cobbled steps that are easier on the knees if you take your time, but you must first mount a cobbled hill. From the parking lot, it is worth the extra 15 minutes of walking to visit Stair Hole and The Crumple Rock Formations before going on to the actual cove itself along a road that runs beside the tourist information centre. The staff at the TIC is helpful, and there are lots of chairs outside for visitors to enjoy. In addition, there is no charge for using the facilities. You can catch a bus back to Weymouth from the parking lot's turning circle (X54).
