Routes for Hiking:

This strenuous walk will take you up one of the highest hills in the area, Ben Klibreck, where you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Circular stroll Around Falls of Shin: This is a nice stroll that takes you all around the Falls of Shin region, where you can take in the scenery of the river and falls, and perhaps even see some salmon jumping.

The Strath Oykel Circular Walk is a lovely route that offers a variety of riverbank routes and views of the surrounding landscape. This walk circumnavigates the beautiful Strath Oykel.

Routes for Cyclists:

The Highland Wildcat routes are a network of mountain biking routes that are open to mountain bikers of varying ability levels and offer an exhilarating opportunity to enjoy the Highland scenery.

A bicycle loop that takes you around the village and its surroundings, allowing you to take in the lochs, hills, and other local attractions as you go. This loop goes by the name of the Lairg Loop.

Routes for Motorists:

Although it does not go directly through Lairg, the North Coast 500 (NC500) is a well-known driving route that begins and finishes in Inverness and travels along the coast and across the Highlands. Although it does not pass through Lairg directly, the NC500 is a famous route. This gorgeous journey offers ample opportunity for detours, one of which should take you to Lairg.

From Lairg to Dornoch: This route will take you from Lairg to the charming town of Dornoch, which is well-known for its ancient church as well as its magnificent sandy beaches.

Drive from Lairg to the picturesque fishing village of Ullapool, which is located on the beaches of Loch Broom and is well-known for the high quality of its seafood as well as its beautiful setting.

This route will take you from Lairg to the settlement of Tongue. Along the way, you will travel by Loch Shin and be treated to wonderful vistas of the Highlands.
