The Cannich Loop is a circular route that begins in the local village of Cannich and travels through picturesque landscapes and wooded areas on its way to its conclusion. The trek is not very difficult and offers participants a glimpse of the Highlands' natural environment.

Plodda Falls Trail: The trail to Plodda Falls is a short but rewarding hike that takes you to a breathtaking cascade at the end of its journey. The hiking path has been meticulously maintained, and it provides some fantastic opportunities for photography.

Glen Affric is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful glens in all of Scotland, and it is home to a number of hiking trails. There are many different types of paths in the area, ranging from short strolls to longer, more strenuous hikes. The landscape features a combination of mountains, forests, and lochs.

The Munros in the Strathfarrar area provide experienced hikers with tough paths that culminate in breathtaking vistas. A Munro is defined as a mountain that is at least 1,000 metres (3,300 feet) high. These hikes call for careful preparation and the use of appropriate gear.

Towpath of the Caledonian Canal If you prefer to go through gentler terrain, the towpath of the Caledonian Canal, which is located close to Inverness, offers a lovely walking and cycling route along the banks of the canal.

The Affric Kintail Way is a long-distance hiking path that travels through some absolutely breathtaking scenery, including Glen Affric. The path may be finished in stages and features a wide variety of landscapes to take in along the way.

Walks in a Circular Pattern There are a plethora of opportunities for walks in a circular pattern in and around Kirkhill. These walks can be as short as a stroll or as long as a walk. You can find these hidden jewels with the assistance of local maps and hiking guidebooks.

Take a scenic drive or ride your bike around Loch Ness and stop in some of the picture-perfect communities and lookout locations along the way on the Loch Ness Circular Route.

Great Glen Way: The Great Glen Way is a long-distance walking route that goes from Fort William to Inverness, travelling through spectacular Highland landscapes and along the Caledonian Canal. Although the route does not go directly through Kirkhill, it does pass through the area.

Explore the local forests and woodland areas around Kirkhill, which may make for pleasurable treks and provide opportunity to see animals. The Kirkhill Forest is one of these sites.

Keep in mind that the weather in the Highlands can change unexpectedly at any moment, so make sure you are always prepared with the appropriate clothing, gear, and a map. Before setting out on longer or more isolated paths, it's a smart idea to brief a friend or family member on your itinerary. In addition, local tourism agencies or outdoor organisations may be able to provide specialised trail information and recommendations.
