Kingston Lacey is the home of the Bankes family since it was built for them by Sir Roger Pratt the building was in construction from 1663 to 16655. It is among the finest houses of its period in Dorset and contains an outstanding collection of paintings by artists
including Velazquez, Murillo, Giorgione, Zurbaran, Rubens, Van Dyck, Titian and Raphael.
