Visiting Fraserburgh Beach
The golden sands of Fraserburgh Beach begin at the south-eastern edge of the town and continue all the way along the Aberdeenshire coastline to the place where the Moray Firth meets the North Sea.
Because of its close proximity to all of the facilities as well as its beautiful, golden sand, the beach is a favourite destination for families, and there is typically enough space for everyone.
Back behind the beach is a significant dune system made of sand, which features a salt marsh and reed beds. This area is a home for a diverse array of wildlife, including a great number of species of wading birds. Visitors who are particularly fortunate might even see whales or dolphins in the water.
At the most north-western part of the beach, there is a large parking lot, a children's play area, a seaside centre, restrooms, and changing rooms. These amenities are all available to beachgoers. There is a rather short set of stairs that lead down to the beach.
The heart of Fraserburgh is located just a few hundred metres to the north of the beach, and it features a variety of additional amenities, such as places to dine, places to stay, and even a museum dedicated to the town's lighthouse. The majority of the tourist facilities are located close to the harbour, which is still the most important working port for shellfish in all of Europe.
