Facing on to a lake, the house is primarily a red brick dating from the l8th century, with an immense portico, but some parts date from much earlier. Inside there is rich decoration. The paintings in the hall and the trellis-work are late 18th century. The gilding in the ballroom is also from the l8th century while the ceiling painting are from the l7th century. The Library which is decorated by a wall painting, and those in the drawing room date from the l9th century
