Explore Andover, even though Andover gives the impression of a newer town it is in fact very long established with a varied history, and was already a municipal borough under King John, and later achieved importance for its wool trade. Andover continues to expand and has some interesting modern developments.
The 19th century Church of St Mary, built by a former headmaster of Winchester, is a fine example off early English style and is set on a hill, it stands out well from its surroundings. Also worth a visit is the Museum, which contains geological and archaeological remains. So if you would like to stay in the county of Hampshire you can start by checking Andover Holiday Accommodation Guide with stay4you.com.
Andover is a good centre for your vacation and has plenty of places of interest.  Just one mile south west of the town is an early Iron Age camp, going but the name of Bury Hill, which gives good vistas across the countryside.
Of the attractive villages in the local area, Abbots Ann has charm and is linked to an interesting custom, the church which was rebuilt in 1716, hang white paper garlands which up to this century were carried at the funerals of maidens and bachelors who
were “reputed to have died virgins”, as Gilbert White of Selborne delicately phrases it.

Amport lies nearby, and has thatched cottages, a green, and a stream trickling through it. Amport House is a 19th-cent. Elizabethan house belonging to the Marquess of Winchester. A little further west is Quarley, almost on the border with Wiltshire. Nearby Quarley Hill soars to over 560 ft and gives marvellous views. It is a well known landmark and has an old Iron Age hill fort, excavated in 1938, and Bronze Age boundary ditches can also be seen. Longparish, just south east of Andover, has a long main street, as its name would indicate. It is set on the Test and has attractive thatched cottages. To the NW. is Hiarwood Forest, with a beech avenue leading from the Andover road to Deadman’s Plack, which commemorates the murder of Ethelwulf by King Edgar, 959-76. Edgar sent Ethelwulf to seek out a beauty named Elfrida. Unfortunately Ethelwulf fell for her charm and married her himself. When Edgar found out he killed Ethelwulf and subsequently made Elfrida his Queen. To the noth east of Andover is St Mary Bourne, a charming village set on the River Boume. The church is particularly remarkable for its large black marble carved font brought from Tournai, A similar one can be seen at Winchester Cathedral.

Andover is located in Hampshire. Find a bed & breakfast that is encircled on three sides by fields and has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and of Quarley Hill. The village is located in the middle of the countryside in Hampshire, just south of the A303. It is approximately halfway between the cathedral towns of Salisbury and Winchester, both of which can be reached by car in approximately thirty minutes.

There are a plethora of sites to explore, and the entire area is ideal for walking and cycling. The Test Valley is only a few miles to the south, while the undulating Marlborough Downs are to the north. The Monxton and Grateley Golf Centre can be reached in a short amount of time and features a driving range and a Pay and Play nine-hole golf course.
The mainline train station provides a quick service to London Waterloo in a little over an hour, while the A303 provides access to London through the M3 and the West Country. Both of these routes are convenient. You may get to Exeter by taking the train from London Waterloo, which departs once an hour during the day and slightly more frequently during rush hour. The train will take you through Salisbury.

Andover is home to a plethora of retail establishments, as well as cultural and recreational venues, such as a theatre, a cinema, and a brand new leisure centre. Additionally, the town features an outstanding variety of educational institutions, including a college.

You will find a wealth of open land and space here, as well as a number of local nature reserves, all of which are within walking distance of the central business district of the town.

The actual town has a charming "market town" atmosphere, and everything that you would require is conveniently located nearby. Find a single-family home that is separate and offers virtually everything you may want or need for a holiday get-together, whether you are planning for the winter holidays or the summer vacations.

On the outskirts of Andover is where you'll find the little village of Charlton. Andover is home to a post office, as well as stores, a church, and a public house.

Through its connection to the M3, the A303 offers first-rate vehicular access to both the West Country and the city of London.

The Charlton Lakes are located nearby and have a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, such as mini golf and water sports, in addition to a lakeside pavilion that serves beverages and has both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Find a Victorian country hotel that is located in the midst of the splendour of the North Wessex Down and is close to the lovely Bourne Valley. This hotel is located in an area that has been designated as having outstanding natural beauty and offers romantic getaways as well as fun for friends and families. There are so many country estates in this region that you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to things to see and do such as the Andover Baptist Church. Nearby attractions include Church of St. Mary, the Museum of the Iron Age, and more. Explore the area on one of the several looping walks that are available.

Visit Anton Lakes Nature Reserve while you're in Andover, and make sure to book a room at a hotel that's less than a 15-minute walk from the city's main business district. You may find inn accommodations as well as bed and breakfast accommodations that are suitable for any budget and any size party.

Find a dog-friendly accommodation that will accommodate you and your visitors, whether you intend to go walking or cycling or simply want to get away from it all with the family pet.
