This reputation has helped to make the village of Dunure one of the most well-known places in all of Scotland. The reason for this is that the village is situated within the jurisdiction of the Aberdeenshire council district. The distance between Dunure to the beautiful Culzean Castle is around 6 miles (10 km) on this beach walk. You may stroll the length of the Ayrshire Coastal Path, which provides amazing views of the sea, cliffs, and the castle itself.

The Dunure Circular Walk will take you through the village, through the countryside, and along the coast as it explores the immediate area around Dunure. Views of Dunure Harbour, the demolished Dunure Castle, and the lovely Scottish countryside are all available.

The Heads of Ayr Coastal Path is a neighbouring hiking trail that is noteworthy despite not being located in Dunure itself. From Dunure to the Heads of Ayr, it spans along the shore and provides sweeping views of the sea, rocks, and surroundings. It takes about 5 miles (8 km) to walk one way.

The Ayrshire Coastal Path is a long-distance trail that follows the Ayrshire coastline for around 100 miles (160 kilometres). You can explore small segments of the path at a time, such as the aforementioned Dunure to Culzean Castle part, even though you can't finish the entire trail in a single day.
