Magical Loch Ness Escape – Drumnadrochit, Scotland

Drumnadrochit is a charming village that makes the perfect base for exploring Loch Ness. We stayed for two nights and loved the mix of myths, scenery, and Highland hospitality. The Loch Ness Centre was surprisingly informative and fun – great for all ages. We also enjoyed a peaceful walk up to Urquhart Castle with stunning views across the loch (no Nessie sightings, unfortunately!).

The village has a warm, welcoming feel with lovely cafés and friendly locals. It’s small but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend for couples or families wanting a mix of nature, history, and a touch of mystery.

Tip: Try an early morning walk by the loch – the stillness and mist are absolutely unforgettable.
