You can begin your stroll around the Blackford Hill Loop at Blackford Pond, and then make your way up to Blackford Hill. You may take in breathtaking vistas of the city as you go to the peak. Because the paths are clearly signposted, this location is perfect for going on a walk at your own pace.

Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill Local Nature Reserve: This reserve is home to a network of trails and walks that visitors can take to learn more about the area. You are free to roam among the woods, take in the sights from Blackford Hill, and take in the serene atmosphere.

Union Canal walk The Union Canal is a waterway that passes through this location, and there is a walk that offers beautiful views of the canal. You can take a relaxing walk or ride your bike down the canal and take in the serene waters and verdant surroundings as you do so.

Walk Around the Liberton Golf Course You should think about going for a walk around the Liberton Golf Course if you are at all interested in golf or if you simply appreciate walking in well-kept green spaces.

Another wonderful location for strolling around the countryside and appreciating nature is Craiglockhart Hill, which can be found to the north-northwest of Blackford. There are hiking trails that are clearly designated that lead up to the peak, which features breathtaking vistas of the city.

From Blackford Pond to the golf course at Craigmillar Park: This path will take you from Blackford Pond to the golf course in Craigmillar Park along streets surrounded with trees and parks, and it will be a lovely walk the whole way.
