Eddrachillis sutherland Scottish Highlands is on the north-west coast of Sutherland it lies north of Assynt and is at the mouth of the Loch a' Chàirn Bhàin, also known as the Loch Cairnbawn. There are thirty five Islands and inlets and a large area of rugged country with prominent peaks of Ben Stack and Foinavan, The land once belonged to the earls of sutherland.

Then passed to the Morays in the 13th century and back to the Sutherlands in 1829. Scourie is the nearest village on the north west coast of about halfway between Ullapool and Durness.
The nearby island of Handa is a nature reserve and the site of a large seabird colony, including puffins, Skaus, guillemots, and razorbills. Screened from the pier by trees is Scourie House, built for the Sutherland estate factor in 1846.
