People who own second homes in England can take advantage of small business rates relief and apply for council tax savings thanks to the regulations that are now in place. All they need to do is declare their plan to rent out the property as a vacation home. However, beginning on the first day of the new fiscal year in April 2023, in order to be eligible for business rates, second houses will be required to be rented out for a minimum of 70 days every year and to be ready to let for a minimum of 140 days.
