A Commando Museum can be found in the village of Achnacarry, which is around six miles away from the monument. This museum is definitely worth seeing because it contains a great deal of additional information and artefacts on the Commandos.

The winter and summer months routinely offer beautiful vistas with strong lighting on days that are either stormy or serene and tranquil. These views are available during both the summer and winter months. The early mornings and nights of the summer months are the most ideal times for photographers.

There is a large parking lot close to the Monument, as well as a few bed and breakfasts, a self-catering facility, and a quaint restaurant called Old Pines that also has rooms. The village of Spean Bridge can be reached by travelling the route for five minutes.

You can take a really nice drive from the Commando Monument by continuing on the single track road to Gairlochy, where you can then go left to Banavie and join the A830 to get to Lochy Bridge, and then take a left on the A82 north to get to Spean Bridge. If you do this, you will arrive at the end of the drive at Spean Bridge. Another option is to take the right fork when you get to Gairlochy. This will put you on the road that runs along the side of Loch Lochy and will bring you to Bunarkaig and the entrance to Achnacarry, where you will find the Clan Cameron Museum, Ka-iag Falls, and Loch Arkaig.
