The Highlands are the location of the ski resort known as The Lecht (United Kingdom, Scotland). There are 18 kilometres of slopes accessible for those who want to ski or snowboard. There are 13 elevators to convey the visitors. The elevation range of the winter sports area is between 637 and 775 metres.

It is located in the midst of Scotland's biggest national park and has a breath-taking setting in the Eastern Cairngorms at an elevation of 2,090 feet above sea level.

The resort has been in operation since the middle of the 1970s and has expanded from a single ski tow to a year-round Highland activity centre with 20 ski lines that are kept in good condition and 14 lifts. This is one of the best ski resorts in Scotland, and it can be reached easily from Speyside and Aviemore, Donside and Aberdeen, as well as Royal Deeside. The A939, which connects Tomintoul and Strathdon, is home to some of the most breath-taking views in all of Scotland, and it's where you'll find access to this particular ski resort.

This natural playground is packed with fun things to do outside, whether it's the middle of summer or the middle of winter. Because it has its own snowmaking facilities, it has some of the most reliable snow and is suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels, although it is particularly beneficial for novices and intermediates. The Penguin Park is open to children aged 2 to 8 and features a Rotondo Carousel, which enables children to get the hang of balancing and sliding around on skis or snowboards for the first time in a way that is both safe and fun. Additionally, the park has many features that make learning to ski or board even more enjoyable.

You may rent all of the equipment either online or at the centre itself; however, owing to the great demand, it is highly advised that you reserve rentals in advance. At the Ski Snow Shop, you may rent clothing right there on the premises. The ski school offers a variety of different types of instruction to help students improve their skiing abilities.

In the warmer months, the centre offers two mountain bike routes; however, there is no need to exert yourself climbing the hill since you can just link your bike to the three-person chairlift and ride it up. It is suggested to call ahead of time to verify the weather conditions before travelling since heavy winds might impair how smoothly the chairlift operates.

Visitors are certain to have delightful days spent in the mountains when they are assisted by staff members who have a warm and welcoming demeanour.
