From Inverness take the A9 south, Just after the village of Slochd take the A938 signposted Carrbridge, stay on the A938 until Dulnain Bridge where you turn left onto the A95, the Village of Ballindalloch is approximately 15 miles beyond the town of Grantown-upon-Spey, Ballindalloch Distillery can be found on the right, as you journey through the village.

The commitment of the family and the distillery team to create a unique whisky both in terms of the method of production and links to the local community is evident throughout the distillery and a sample of their new make spirit upon arrival in the cask filling room provides a truly excellent experience, you are met in the car park by one of the four workers that run the entire site and given a talk about the in-depth history of the family behind the distillery and how the old estate farm was transformed into the Ballindalloch craft distillery, the team have given such careful thought to what they are doing and trying to create, and any true connoisseur or lover of single malt will appreciate what they have set out to do, employing Brian as an ambassador, they have a wonderful guy who not only knows his stuff but is passionate in what they are creating somewhere between four to six years time, it has the promise of being something very unique.
