Applecross Holiday Accommodation Guide discover Applecross Located almost in a secret Glen between the mountain ranges of the mainland and the island of Skye is where you'll find the Applecross Peninsula.
A tranquil haven away from the clamour and congestion of modern life, with only a couple hundred residents at the time of stay4you.com's visit and access by the Bealach pass route from the south and the coast road from the north. The community known as Applecross is comprised of the crofting townships of Ardheslaig, Kenmore, Fearnabeag, Fearnamor, Cuaig, Lonbain, Applecross Bay & Shore St, Milltown, Camusteil, Camusterrach, Culduie, Ard Dubh, and Toscaig, moving from north to south. Toscaig is the most southern of these townships. It is in your best interest to become familiar with each and every one of these numerous outposts of the companies that are covered on our website. In point of fact, a lot of people just drive through the pass, park their cars at the bay, and then continue on their way. Spend some time in Applecross, where you will have the opportunity to find and learn about the many treasures that have been hidden across the area.

The name of this place in Gaelic, which is a Chomraich, literally means "The Sanctuary."

Even if you are only able to stay for a short time, you will never forget how challenging it was to get to this location.

When you go over the Bealach na Ba, which is 2053 feet in elevation, you have the potential to catch a glimpse of sights that are typically only seen by mountaineers. You can stand here and look out at the ocean and the mountains to the south for as long as you like, but eventually you will have to make your way back down to the hamlet because you will either feel too cold or too hungry.

We could go on and on about the great beaches, the calm waters of the Inner Sound, the gentle hills that look out over the crofting communities, the delectable food, the exquisite music, the jaw-dropping sunsets, and the many other aspects of the area.

Applecross, a hidden gem on Scotland's west coast, defies description. You'll remember it long after you go. Applecross enthralled me on my recent visit, and I highly suggest it.

Journeying to Applecross is an adventure. Every traveller should drive the stunning Bealach na Bà, with its hairpin twists and breathtaking views. The world-top vibe is unmatched.

Applecross feels lost in time with its lovely hamlet, gorgeous harbour, and golden sand beach. It's a refuge for nature lovers. At Applecross Beach, you may lose track of time while relaxing by the ocean.

Applecross Inn, a gastronomic joy, was a vacation highlight. The seafood is unmatched, and local produce is used in every meal. Dining with the bay and mountains in view is a treasured memory.

Exploring on foot is essential. Hikers of all levels may enjoy the varied trails. Coastal hikes and historic forest trails offer beautiful landscapes and animal sightings.

The Applecross Heritage Centre showcased the region's rich history, from crofting to fishing and communal life. It helps you appreciate this distinct Scottish region's traditions and culture.

The welcoming inhabitants, who take delight in their remote location, enhance the experience. They love to share tales and advice, making you feel like part of the community.

Applecross is more than a destination—it's an experience. An getaway from contemporary life, it offers tranquilly, natural beauty, and a profound connection to Scotland's history and culture. If you want an unforgettable trip, Applecross is for you. Your heart and soul are forever changed by it.
